General Information

  • An environment watched one-on-one by hundreds of different university sports coaches
  • The chance to play alongside the best American athletes
  • The opportunity to experience American-style basketball first-hand
  • Talent development through a structured training program
  • You can seize the opportunity to work with experienced American coaches.

Location

Our main location for accommodation and training will be the Florida Coastal Academy in Fort Walton, Florida. For the AAU tournament held in Orlando, the Orange County Convention Center will be used.

Facilities

The Florida Coastal Academy, where our accommodation and training will take place, is one of the important prep schools in the USA. The academy, which each session sends many athletes in basketball and volleyball to various scholarship programs at American universities, will be our main facility.

Our tournament venue in Orlando has been set as the Orange County Convention Center. Here, in high-level matches, our athletes will show themselves in front of the coaches.

Transfer

Our travel to Fort Walton will be made together as a group. Because our team consists of athletes from various countries, we will have an airport meeting point in Europe. You can go to this point either via Serbia together with the organisation, or directly on your own.

Daily Program

Our weekday programs will consist of daily individual-development training, team training and practice matches with local teams. On Thursday, departure preparations will be made and we will set off. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, matches will be played at the AAU tournaments.

Tournament Details

Between 12 and 15 matches will be played over 3 days at America's largest AAU tournament.

Age Categories

U16 (ages 15 and 16)

U18 (ages 17 and 18)

Activities

During our time in Florida, we will have time for many excursions and activities. The most important of these will be the university visits we make.

FAQ

How do I register?

The first step for registration is to reach out to Okare. Each of the programs we offer may have different registration steps, so the best way to register is to contact the Okare team and start the process with their guidance.

You will begin by pre-registering through the pre-registration form we direct you to.

I'm an athlete — can I register individually?

You can register individually for many of our sports camps.

Individual participation is also possible for the competitions we offer in individual disciplines such as swimming, tennis and athletics.

In addition, we also have programs where teams formed from individual participants compete.

You can find this information in the program's details.

I'm a coach/manager — do I have to pay a participation fee too?

Many of our programs offer free participation for a coach/manager in return for a certain number of participants.

As this varies from program to program, it is best to contact the Okare team with your group's details and get a suitable group price quote.

Can I find out details such as hotel names?

For some of our programs the accommodation options are fixed. In that case we can share information so you can review the hotels/camp facilities where you will stay. For other programs the accommodation options are arranged according to your choice and the program's occupancy; in that case we can inform you of the accommodation details some time before the event.

But don't worry — working together with you, we are always in contact with the program organisers to arrange accommodation where you and your group will be comfortable.

How do we make payments?

The payment terms required by our different programs can vary.

For your payments, you should contact the Okare team to get information along with a program-specific offer.

I'm a parent — can I join too?

Parent participation is permitted for some of our programs. In that case, for you parents, we can offer accommodation either at the athletes' accommodation centres or at other accommodation options.

Parent participation fees vary; for detailed information please contact the Okare team.

Can you provide additional services on request?

For many of our programs we can provide additional services such as extra transfers, excursions, friendly matches and match tickets on request.

You can discuss the additional services we can offer for a specific program, and your requests, by contacting our Okare team.
